Right now, there are roughly 500,000 families in the United States fighting a fight against an opponent that can't be defeated. Every day, these brave people wake up to face another day of physical, emotional, and financial struggles that few can truly comprehend. These people are caregivers, and their opponent is young-onset Alzheimer's disease. Caregivers to those with YOAD face a series of challenges and struggles that you wouldn't always associate with traditional Alzheimer's. YOAD can strike those in their 30s or 40s, and the disease often leaves the families with dozens of concerns and unanswered questions. As many of these families seek out assistance, more often than not they find themselves on waiting lists of more than 12 months. Caregivers are looking for help, but finding none. They need somebody to stand with them. As they fight, they need the right people in their corner. They need a warrior. By giving to the Sharon Antcliff Foundation, you'll help to provide assistance to these families that they are unable to find elsewhere. |
